Notes from Our Couple:
“Hi Hannah, thanks so much for all of your help in making it a wonderful event. I can't believe it is over after all of the planning and anticipation! I know that having design-oriented and opinionated clients is always a challenge, and we appreciate your advice, patience and professionalism. The whole day was a bit of a blur to me, but all of our friends have told us how much they enjoyed everything from the food and decor to the personal touches and surprises (in particular, the lanterns were a great hit and I love the love letter tins...). I can't wait to see the pictures. I think that our mutual perfectionism, hard work and passion worked out well! We had so many friends fly in from all over the world, and I am happy to say that everyone has said that it was great fun and well worth it. We are very glad that we were able to work with you on our wedding. Thanks again and I hope that you (and Josephine) will get some rest over the festive season. Happy holidays“

Their Dream Wedding & Our Completion
The wedding was held in Amara Sanctuary, a hotel that has previously been given poor reviews unfortunately. Yet this is one wedding that turns around the impressions. The ballroom was handed over to us only by 4pm after the previous wedding lunch of another couple has added. Our challenge was to install a 20ft by 20ft structure of 80 lanterns with floral arrangements up on the ceiling that is about 6 metres high above the guests tables by seven in the evening. To add on to the pressure for shortness of time, the wedding had to start on precise time at 7.45pm as we were expecting some senior ministers’ arrivals for this event. But it was an event that I have received great support from all departments of Amara Sanctuary, particularly the banquet team and the chefs. I wished I have videotaped the entire event, it was exciting and intense to watch. My team had to speed up the setting for the cocktail area as well as the table setting details, while I had to work with the captains to ensure the ballroom was turn over as fast as possible, so that my floral team could setup the installation of the floral and lanterns on the ceiling. And amazing, we have had everything ready by half past six, leaving behind my last checklist i.e. the ambience lightings and effects. And by 7pm, all was ready for the arrival of the guests. The moment the door opened, and when guests walked in, I was happy to see their faces. My most memorable moments was when I witnessed my couple’s first dance under those lanterns, and when the dance floor was filled with people dancing and partying. I knew my job was done.

Our Satisfaction
Both Katherine & Greg stay in New York, and knowing that they would only be back in Singapore once before their big day, they really wanted to be sure they got someone who understood who they are and managed the planning independently without much assistance. Katherine was the first bride I had so far who spent time to create six to seven impression boards to illustrate the style, the feel and the look she was hoping we could create for her. I simply wowed when I first received her email. She knew what she wanted for her wedding. As what she has described in her note to me, our mutual perfections and passion spurred us to achieve more than what we have expected. This project, I grew to appreciate the beauty of exotic flowers, good old times goodies, and the elegance of simplicity.
