I remembered asking Nisha’s family why they had not considering engaging a traditional Indian wedding planner. When I realized this was going to be an Inter-racial wedding, the intention was clear. The family wanted a wedding that reflects both Indian and European traditions, a wedding that has the blend of both worlds. With this in mind, we created the look – A Mandap draped with colourful fabric, crystals and tuberose, and forms the best canopy for the band stage as well as the dance floor. With the lightings shining against the fabric and crystals, everything on the stage and dance floor becomes magical.

Our Satisfaction

This is the first wedding that was given the shortest time for our setup. The event was on a Friday, and there was a corporate seminar held in the same ballroom till 5.30pm. We were given the ballroom at 5.40pm, and we needed to have everything setup by 7.30pm, latest 8pm. With a rectangular truss structure of 7.5m by 7.5m wide and 4m high, and having tuberose and crystals dangling from the 4m truss all around the truss, it was challenging. Every member from floral , sound & lightings crew including the band, everyone put in their best for the setup at their quickest time. I remembered seeing our famous drummer – Tama Goh looking amazingly at the setup, and giving a helping hand by supporting the ladder my florist was climbing on, I was encouraged. No one was an onlooker. Tama asked me during the setup : You don’t seem to panic…?” I smiled and simply said “I trust my team, the best I should do now is to believe in them, and we will definitely complete the job as desired, all will be well” At the end, he came to me with these words that I was pleased to hear : Hannah, I must say I am amazed to see such a setup completed in such a short time, your team did well. Good job. Yes, my team did well.. and I am so grateful to have them with me for these past few years.
