Their Dream Wedding & Our Completion

Shuming has always portrayed herself as a calm and serene bride who knows what she wants. In fact, that helps me so much in my creations. When I first interviewed both of them, they simply wanted a wedding where guests have good food, and have fun with the little touches. When Shuming shared how she loves the gardens as natural as it is, that was the inspiration I began my creations. In most local ballroom, the interior is either ornate or Victorian, so to me, the only way we could distract the busy interior, is to create a huge centerpieces structure that is significant to everyone, and yet at the same time, it is aesthetically pretty and elegant. And I personally love trees, so the idea of guests dining under the trees was something I always wish I could create.

Our Satisfaction

To many, having a 2 metre tall table centerpiece on some guest tables can be overwhelming, but to me, as long as I can put a step closer to make my couple’s dream come true, everything can be made possible. I remembered the florist had to do few mock up with us to finally achieve what we have envisioned it to look like on the actual day. From the structure silhouette, to how the lightings should be, and the linens to be used, I was precise and meticulous. At the end of the day, when everyone saw what I have had in my mind, everyone finally understood and was happy. The other thing I had great fun in designing with was the cookies corner, my love. This wedding was a black tie event, so initially I was doubtful whether much of the cookies would be appreciated. Despite that, I told my team: let’s dress it up and refill the cookies jar as much as we can. At the end of the day, all we witnessed was a continuous flow of guests coming up of the banquet hall to help themselves with the spread. What can I say: we all just love to munch.
